I have just had my log cabin re-stained by Total Deck Care. My cabin is 11 years old and I had never had it cleaned and re-stained. So it was in pretty bad shape. Stu and his crew came out and made it look brand new. They are the most thorough company I have ever had any dealings with. They are the most thorough company I have ever had any dealings with. They hammered down nails, sanded rails. They replaced a board in the eaves on one side of the house, and at the end of the job washed all windows on the outside! I would recommend Total Deck Care to anyone who wants a “Cadillac job.”

Total Deck Care worked on our home in the fall of 2008. Stew and his crew stripped the failing finish on our 6 yr. old, 3500 sq. ft. log home and used Perma Chink products to stain and protect the revived logs. Stew and his crew spend approximately 19 days working on our log home. The guys were not slackers. When there was daylight they were always working and working HARD. I don’t know how they managed to work such long hours and so hard. During the refinishing Stew and his crew stayed with us. The guys were always polite, courteous and respectful. They were good house guests. They never complained about the food even if it was not what they were used to and it was good to see them eat. Goodness knows needed fuel to keep going. We are pleased with the results of the refinishing. We anticipate that our home will be much easier to maintain going forward. We had a small area where the logs didn’t stain correctly and Stew has corrected that issue. Stew is a man of his word. Through the winder months we have found that the house is more air tight since Stew did the recaulking of the exterior. To sum up: We are pleased with the work Total Deck Care has done for us and we recommend them to help you with your log home.

I was very thankful for Southland Log Homes referring Mr. Stewart Thibodeau of Total Deck Care to me to restore my log home. I am writing this letter to inform ou about the wonderful workmanship Stewart Thibodeau and Total Deck Care performed on my log home. Stewart’s crew restored my log home back to almost new. My log home was in poor condition and had a blackish color that had adhered to the logs. Stewart and his crew stripped everything off and removed all the old stain, mold, and dirt that had adhered. His crew did an exceptional job re-caulking all the areas that were in need and even caulked in between the logs, where we once seen light slip through from the outside. TDC even tested the wood for the correct Ph levels and sprayed the Shell-Guard to combat against the insects. I was very pleased with the knowledge Stewart had in wood restoration and all the information he had given me on the various products he uses. He convinced me that the best product on the market was Permachink. Even though it was more expensive, he stated that in the long run, there would be a more lasting and beautiful outcome in the log home. I was also impressed with the courtesy and skills that reflected on all his crew and the time they spent going through all those extra details that are sometimes missed on a job. Stewart and his crew even cleaned and washed all my exterior windows. I would highly recommend using Permachink products and having a company as knowledgeable as Total Deck Care perform any job that involves wood restoration.

This was our first log home project we did. We hired Stewart Thibodeau and his crews from Total Deck Care to perform the work on the interior and exterior of our log homes. Stu and his crew did an excellent job. We especially were pleased with the knowledge of Stewart and his crews. Stewart went over everything with us, answered all our questions, and gave us a step-by-step description of exacting the details of the work that his crew would be performing on all the log homes. Even though the TDC crew was 3 hours from the project, we were impressed that whenever we needed TDC for a closing or a touch-up, they were here. Stewart always kept his word on what he was going to do and strictly followed the manufacture’s specifications, the job schedules, and completed all the punch lists in a timely manner.
